Aspen Lodge is located right in the heart of the resort with everything Val d’Isere has to offer right on the doorstep. Each suite has 4 bedrooms and benefits from the large reception area on the ground floor along with our concierge desk giving you the ultimate in location, style and comfort.
Sliding glass doors open from the high street onto a smart lounge area with open fire, giant cinema screen for kids’ evenings and big SKY sporting events, Nintendo Wii, pool table, complimentary internet screens, draft beer and coffee bar. We have a reception desk for advice, information and concierge service and lift access to the private accommodation suites above.
The suite has four bedrooms, three of which are Twin rooms and the fourth can be made as a Twin or a Double. Each room has a balcony and en suite bath or shower. The suite is entirely independent, with its own living and dining areas and dedicated chalet host. It’s generously sized and furnished with tastefully understated style, from the invitingly large sofas to the funky designer bathrooms.
All suites have a south facing terrace or balcony. One of our 4 bedroom suites has a private hot tub on the balcony, and there are 3 communal hot tubs on the terrace at the rear of the property for use by all guests staying the Aspen Lodge.
The welcoming glass of bubbly and appetising canapés on your first evening sets the tone for a week of tempting cuisine.
Your day starts with a choice of tea or coffee at your bedside (we can leave it outside the door if you prefer). This is followed by a hearty breakfast, including French bacon, tomatoes and a choice of eggs or, if you prefer, porridge; all served with fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, freshly baked bread, croissants, jams, and a selection of teas and coffee.
While you are out skiing your host will have laid out afternoon tea for your return – diet-defying cakes, bread, jam, tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
Dinner comprises a three-course meal followed by a cheese course, coffee and mints, and all complemented by a selection of extremely palatable French wines. The quality of our wine is of a much superior standard to that which you might have come to expect on a chalet holiday and we have a choice of house reds and whites to accompany your evening meal. In the unlikely event that our house wine proves not to be to your liking then additional choices, including champagne and port, are available from our cellar for a small supplement.
Please note: The chalet host will have a day off during the course of the week, during which you will be required to eat out.
