Chalet Hotel Coq du Bruyere is situated in La Croisette, the lively epicentre of 1850 next to the World Cup slalom stadium. This is where all the main ski-lifts start, the ski-school meets and apres happens. This location also offers supremely easy access to the slopes, with the Loze piste literally just metres away.
The open-plan lounge and bar area was refurnished last year and with its open fireplace and there is a small separate DVD lounge or ‘snug’, providing additional space to relax, so don’t forget a few DVD’s.
The attractive dining-room opens off the bar – this is where the buffet breakfast and evening meals are served. All the bedrooms have private en suite facilities, with a choice of showers or baths and wc, and many also have a balcony. Please note however that the third bed in the triple rooms is suitable only for a child under 13 years.

A key start to your day, breakfast will be buffet-style with a choice of cereals, boiled eggs, preserves, bread baked freshly in the chalet each morning, cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, juices, plentiful English tea and good filter coffee. On six days of the week, you will also be served a hot option, such as sausage and bacon or pancakes with fresh fruit. On the chalet hosts’ day off, they will prepare a Continental style breakfast for you to take on a self-service basis.
Available 5 days a week at small surcharges that are payable locally, packed lunches are a great idea to save keep costs down. Packed up before you leave for the day, this generally includes a filled roll, crisps, a drink, fruit and a snack bar, to keep you going until your return home.
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day skiing, will be laid out ready and waiting for your return. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake and keeps hungry skiers happy until dinnertime! Please note that afternoon tea is not offered on the hosts’ day off work.
Chalet Hotels take advantage of their professional chef teams and extensive hotel-style kitchen facilities, ensuring that dinner will be a highlight of your day. A 5-course menu is served on 6 days, accompanied by a choice of complimentary quality wines and starting with canapés and an apéritif, generally served in the lounge/bar. This is followed by a starter, main course, dessert and a cheese selection to finish. You are offered choices for each course, always including a vegetarian option, and are asked to make your selection at breakfast each day, so that everything can be prepared fresh for you n the evening.
Dinner can be as sociable or as private as you wish, with larger tables for groups of friends, old or new, or private tables for more intimate dining for couples if preferred.
Please advise us of any dietary requests well in advance of the break.
Please also note that for dinner on the hosts’ day off we will make a reservation for you to eat in a local restaurant of your choice.
