Overview
Skiing in Japan is a unique experience. The combination of waist deep powder, beautiful scenery and a rich, diverse culture will make your ski holiday to Japan unforgettable. The ski season in Hokkaido (Japan’s most northerly Island in which Niseko, our featured resort lies) runs from mid November to mid April, with the best conditions often being found in January & February.
Many clients combine skiing with a stopover in one of Japan’s large cities before or at the end of their trip, allowing you to experience the hustle and bustle of Japanese city life. This is easily done and we can book a wide range of city centre hotels in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, just ask for more details. We sell a wide variety of excursions and trips within Japan including Bullet train journeys, the temples of Kyoto, and a day trip to view the snow monkeys – it all adds to the unique culture of Japan.
Culture is a huge part of any trip and the lightning-fast bullet trains make it easy to visit Tokyo or Kyoto while you’re in Japan. It goes without saying the food is fantastic and, from sushi to ramen to katsu curries, it’s far more varied than you can imagine. You’ll also find izakayas (Japanese pubs) and ryokans (traditional inns) in every resort and, whenever we visit, relaxing in the steamy onsens (hot springs) quickly becomes part of our daily après ritual.
Browse our range of hand-picked Japanese ski hotels and get in touch so we can create your perfect itinerary. Every holiday that we provide is completely tailor-made, so for an accurate quote please contact our team of on 0131 285 0310.
