Nestled in the heart of Serre Chevalier, in the centre of La Salle Les Alpes, the boutique four star Hotel Rock Noir offers a superb location just 20 metres from the slopes. The hotel succinctly blends authenticity and tradition with modern sophistication, to create a wonderfully relaxing experience for all guests.

The bedrooms are an escape from the outside world, with light wood decor, faux fur furnishings and bedside tables made out of tree logs – you’ll definitely know you’re in the mountains here.

The bar and lounge are the ideal venues for pre-dinner drinks, while the courtyard-style outdoor area has its own fire pit to enjoy a hot glass of mulled wine by while the sun sets.

The restaurant is pretty nifty too, serving up refined food made from local market produce. Dishes range from tender beef with mango and passionfruit vinaigrette to creamy chocolate tarts with banana ice cream. You’ll eat well here, that’s for sure.

If relaxation is a big part of your ski holiday, then you’ll be glad to know about the hotel’s Thermae spa. Have a dip in the pool, or warm up in the Swedish-style hot tub and sauna. If you need some pampering, there are plenty of treatments on offer to truly rejuvenate your body and mind.
