Calgary and Montreal with British Airways and Air Canada, getting
to our Canadian ski resorts has never been easier.
Whistler-Blackcomb is Canada’s most famous ski resort, and is a
very popular resort for many of Glacius’ customers. As well as the
epic skiing, the draw comes from Whister being so convenient,
offering some exceptionally located lodgings and unrivalled child
care.
Banff and Lake Louise, nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta
are also firm favourites, especially is scenery is high on the list of
priorities. Panorama, slightly less well known, and despite only
having 10 lifts, ticks every box, including value for money and
offers some amazing powder for advanced skiers.
One thing to note about the Rocky Mountains is that whilst the
peaks are not as high as you find in Euope, the freezing
temperature is much lower, meaning that the you still get the same
and in some places more metres of vertical than can be found in
Europe. We also notice that the runs are generally quieter.
Compared to many European resorts, Canada ski resorts offer
many advantages, especially advanced skiers. In our three chosen
resort, -there is an abundance of piste options with plenty of
plenty of deep powder and steep skiing, and some of the biggest
and best heli-skiing operations in the world.

Calgary is the airport closest to the both Banff and Lake Louise.
For Whistler, Vancouver is the closest airport.

Getting around Canada

From Calgary airport, it is a scenic 90 minute (140 kilometre or 87 mile) drive to Banff & Lake Louise. There are regular shuttle bus connections from the airport to Banff & Lake Louise or you could rent a car from the airport or in Calgary city. From Vancouver Airport, it is a 2.5 hour drive to Whistler. Coaches & Shuttle Buses regularly make the journey and we can always arrange private vehicle charters as well as private helicopter charters.
