Overview

Newly renovated for the 2019/2020 winter season , the Grand Baita Dolomites, arguably Selva’s finest hotels, boasts a revamped reception and new rooms, as well as an improved restaurant and bigger and better spa facilities. It was nice before – it is now fantastic! Location wise, it is perfect – tucked in a quiet street next to the ice rink, a few minutes walk to the village centre.

The spacious rooms at the hotel are a mix of classic cosiness with plush carpets and warm wallpaper and more modern rooms where textured features are complemented by granite walls and minimalist furniture. In addition, the many terraces and balconies, built with wooden cladding, give the hotel a classic alpine style and also offer panoramic views of the Dolomites.

The large spa and wellness centre allows guests to enjoy views of the picturesque mountains from the sauna, take a dip in the heated indoor and outdoor pools or warm up in the hammam. For additional relaxation, a variety of beauty and massage treatments also available (additional charge).

Afterwards head to the bright, spacious restaurant and you’ll be treated to tasty Tyrolean dishes of dumplings, cheeses and cured meats – one of the Italian cuisines best-kept secrets. And as you’d expect from Italy there’s an excellent wine cellar to choose from too.

The new gourmet restaurant offers tasty local Italian and Tyrolean dishes, filled with flavour and accompanied by a fine selection of wines.

Bar & Lounge: You can enjoy a rich, fragrant cup of coffee after lunch, or a fragrant infusion or a simple cup of tea after a day out skiing, or perhaps a tasty aperitif or cocktail in the company of your friends. At the Bar & Lounge Granbaita there is always a good reason to spend relaxed moments, with good music in a setting that is refined and relaxing.

The Main Restaurant: Our guests can also opt for our exclusive “half board” arrangement, where the restaurant at the Hotel Granbaita Dolomites focuses closely on flexibility of choice and the preferences of each guest. Every evening, a rich buffet of starters and a different menu each day, with five courses and numerous alternative dishes.

The Menu Vital has just 500 calories, and comprises four different dishes each day. These dishes are intended for those who wish to maintain a calorie-controlled diet though without sacrificing the pleasures of fine cuisine. And, as a treat for the palate, once a week guests can enjoy a ‘gran buffet’ of specialty dishes from Alto Adige, also with a section offering sushi and international delicacies.
