Overview

The Hotel La Cachette is a classically French mountain ski hotel which sits at the bottom of the piste in Les Arc 1600. The view enjoyed from the south facing balconies down onto Bourg Saint Maurice is simply magnificent.

The hotel is truly ski in ski out, which means that skiing back for lunch (the sun terrace is a great spot) is no drama at all.

The decor is best described as ‘French Alpine’, given the use of natural stone and wooden beams throughout. The red carpets only strengthen the Alpine theme.

The bedrooms are in keeping with the 3* rating – simple. But, they do all the things they are supposed to do – be warm, comfortable , meaning that despite the slightly austere feel, you can still be assured of a good night’s sleep.

The restaurant serves up traditional French cuisine with a menu which changes daily to make the most of seasonal ingredients. As you’d expect in a French-run establishment, there’s a substantial wine list to make every meal merry.

For kids, you can get free baby and toddler equipment so there’s no need to bring it with you. For adults, the sauna and basic fitness room are free to use too.
