Overview

La Folie Douce Hotel opened its first and flagship hotel in December 2018. The hotel is situated on the slopes, at the foot of the Savoy lift which links into the Brevent and Flegere ski areas. This hotel means you can ski and not have to take the bus/walk in ski boots to do so – a true first in the resort. That being said, to ski back at the end of the day there is a black run that leads onto the green – those less adventurous can catch the gondola down.

The hotel is modern, its recent arrival evidenced by the technology used to operate it – prepare for a bracelet to be presented to you on arrival – this is how you charge things to your room.

The Folie Douce and apres ski are synonymous. You will therefore not be surprised when we inform you that live music is blasted out from 4-8pm. Further, the hotel’s 640 square metre spa is a treat for all guests with 8 massage rooms, 2 saunas and a steam room as well as an outdoor heated pool with mountain views, a fitness room and yoga classes in the valley.

Entertainment doesn’t quite stop at 8pm – at dinner, prepare to be joined by acrobats performing a fantastic display, again adding a certain level of experience unrivalled in the Alps.

There are 3 restaurants in the hotel and a chill out wine bar for a calmer post ski experience. Whilst we would argue that there are more suited locations for young children, there is a kids club that runs from 8am till 9pm for 4-12 year olds. This includes ski lessons as well as indoor and outdoor activities from movie nights to mountain excursions.

1 x King bed in one separated room and 2 x Single Beds in a second room. Some rooms may have 1 x King Bed, 1 x Separate Bed and a sofa-bed in a separated room.

Premium suites can accommodate four adults or one couple and two children (1 room with one double bed and 1 room with twin bed). Enjoy a design driven and elegant decoration. You will love the view of the valley.

Take the time to relax in comfortable and fully equipped rooms. Access rooms boast colourful identities, whilst also offering a view of the mountains. They really are an ideal balance between comfort and budget management.

Travelling as a family or with friends, budget bedrooms for 6 are the perfect place for fun (a double bed room connecting to a dormitory room composed of a bunk bed on 3 levels and a single bed on the side – 2 bathrooms)

 

Dining

The hotel boasts five fantastic dining options: La Fruitiere, La Petite Cuisine, Le Mayen and two speedy take-away huts Le Kiosque and La Piazza. There’s something to suit every taste from the relaxed Le Mayen restaurant serving delicious traditional fondues to fine dining at La Fruitiere where head chef Franck Mischler creates outstanding dishes with local ingredients. The hotel also benefits from having two bars on site as well so you’ll be spoiled for choice!
