Overview

Superbly situated in Les Gets ski resort, the 4* Marmotte is a typically Savoyard style family run hotel, offering an excellent regional menu with two speciality meals throughout the week. The hotel has a traditionally styled bar and lounge, a lovely spa area and indoor pool ideal for relaxing in after a long day’s skiing. The hotel is just a minute’s walk from the resort centre, yet right at the foot of the slopes (virtually ski back to the door) and only 80m from the main Chavannes lift.

The theme is very much ‘rustic traditional alpine chalet’ and with the extensive use of wood throughout the public areas (entrance, reception, bar, lounges and restaurant), we don’t disagree.

But with the rustic and traditional and alpine, there are modern twists and more than a hint of luxury making the chalet hotel truly deserved of its 4* rating.

The hotel’s 61 rooms are warm, cosy and comfortable, decorated in light coloured wood, in keeping with Savoyard style throughout all other areas of the hotel. Superior rooms are twins or doubles and can accommodate a child (under 13 years) in a third bed. Family rooms – most of which are duplex rooms – can accommodate up to 4 adults.

The lounge and bar is cosy and warm and the 800m2 leisure area (the Sereni-cimes Spa) is quite breathtaking. It boasts a hammam, sauna, footbath, sensory shower experience (over 16’s only), swimming pool (17m x 7m) and hot tub (all included). Massages are also on offer (supplement, payable locally).

The Hotel la Marmotte is offered on a half board basis, offering guests the choice of three restaurants from December, 21st to the end of March and in 1 restaurant at the end of the season). The hotel also offers a substantial buffet breakfast and 3 course dinner selected from the a la carte menu.

There is a separate children’s sitting if required, supervised with games and activities during French school holidays; there is also a children’s games room with table tennis and table football.

Traditional Room

Room description : These traditional alpine rooms feature a double bed (or twin beds on request), a balcony, and a bathroom or shower room.

Some rooms also have a small single pull-out bed that can accommodate a child under 12.

Superior Room (2 pax)

Capacity: 1 to 2 people

Size: 24 to 26m²

View: Slopes or village

Room description: These larger rooms feature a small lounge area for added space and comfort, a double bed (or twin single beds on request), a bathroom and a balcony.

Some rooms also have an extra pull-out bed that can accommodate a child under 12.

Superior Room (3 pax)

Capacity: For 1 to 3 people

Room description: These lrooms feature a small lounge area for added space and comfort, a double bed (or twin single beds on request), an additional single bed, a bathroom and a balcony.

Chalet Room

Capacity: For 4 people

Size: 31 to 43 m²

Room description: This split-level room is ideal for families with two children under 12. The lower level features the master bedroom, with a double bed (or twin beds on request), a small lounge area, a balcony, and a bathroom.

The upper, mezzanine level (open or closed, depending on configuration) boasts two small single children’s beds.

Junior Suite

Capacity: For up to 5 people

Size: Approx. 45 m²

View: Balcony with village view

Room description: This suite boasts a small open-plan lounge area with armchairs. The sleeping area comes with a super king-size bed (or twin single beds on request), a separate ‘mountain’ area with twin bunk beds and one single bed, and a shower room with walk-in shower.

Junior Suites are accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Comfort Suite

Capacity: For 4 to 6 people

Size: Approx. 65 m²

View: Balcony with village view

Room description: This suite boasts a pleasant lounge area with sofa and armchairs and a dining table. The bedroom, separated from the lounge area by a glass partition, boasts a super king-size bed (or twin single beds on request). There is also a ‘mountain’ area, separate from the bedroom and lounge area, with two bunk beds.

The suite boasts a bathroom and shower room with walk-in shower. There is also a comfortable sofa bed in the lounge area that can accommodate two additional guests.

Exception Suite

Capacity: For 4 to 6 people

Size: Approx. 85 m²

View: Balcony with village view

Room description: This suite boasts an attractive living area, consisting of a spacious lounge with sofa bed and armchairs, a dining table and a wood-fired stove, plus two double bedrooms each with a super king-size bed (or twin single beds on request). It has a shower room with walk-in shower and a bathroom.

There is also a comfortable sofa bed in the lounge area that can accommodate two additional guests.

La Marmotte Suite

Capacity: For up to 7 people

Size: 130 m²

View: Balcony with village view

Room description: This unique suite boasts an alpine chalet ambiance with exposed beams. It is situated on the top floor of the hotel and is perfect for families or groups of friends. It consists of a large lounge with sofa and armchairs, a fireplace, a snooker table and a vast balcony.

It comes with two double bedrooms with super king-size bed (or twin single beds on request), an attic room with three single beds, a bathroom, a shower room with walk-in shower, and a separate bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.

La Biskatcha – Mountain brasserie and grill

La Biskatcha, our mountain brasserie and grill, boasts colourful and casual decor. It’s the perfect place to sample traditional dishes, grilled meats and more exotic options – all cooked on our authentic wood-fired barbecue.

La Piste Noire – Bistronomic cuisine

This restaurant serves up bistronomic cuisine, based on fresh produce from the local market. With its modern, fluid design, it boasts panoramic views across the slopes. The head chef has free rein to concoct dishes for your delectation.

La Pivotte – Regional specialities and cheeses from Savoie

This restaurant, located in a traditional alpine chalet, serves up regional specialities that showcase local produce. Skiers can bask in the warmth of the fireplace after a day on the slopes.

La Paika – Les Gets high-altitude restaurant

Come and dine in the intimate chalet or on the sun-drenched terrace at La Paika, situated on the La Turche slopes. The restaurant serves up a generous, varied fine-dining menu featuring wood-fired grilled meats and a sumptuous buffet of home-made desserts.

Breakfast

La Piste Noire is open between 8 am and 10 am each morning, serving up a generous and varied buffet breakfast with a wide choice of traditional breads, pastries, home-made preserves, cold meats and locally produced cheeses – the perfect energy boost for the day ahead.
