Overview

Hotel Somont is a lovingly maintained, ski in ski out 4* hotel, run by the welcoming Rudiferia family. The hotel is just 100 metres from the Ciampinoi lift and 450 metres from the village centre where you can find a wealth of bars, restaurants and cafes, perfect for lunch or a spot of apres.

A recent renovation has resulted in a luxurious spa area complete with an indoor pool, saunas and a relaxation area.

The family are clear in their ethos of rest and relaxation, taking inspiration from the surrounding UNESCO world heritage site to create a space of tranquillity in the Dolomites. The plush lounge area, is a great place to enjoy a drink in the lounge or sit down to a delectable meal prepared with locally sourced ingredients all in the heart of the hotel.

Rooms have a modern yet unassuming Alpine feel with faux fur throws, alabaster stag heads and pine floors adorning the bright and airy rooms. Each room is styled differently with intricate wall papers and small touches to truly make you feel at home in this superior hotel.

The abovementioned spa area includes an indoor pool heated to 31 degrees and a whirlpool complete with colour therapy lights. There are saunas to cater to every need including the traditional Finnish, bio sauna, infrared aromatherapy sauna and Turkish steam bath which are all perfect for resting weary legs after a day of skiing the incredible Dolomites region.

For dinner service, the restaurant Somont describes itself as taking guests on an Alpine culinary journey and exclusively relies on ingredients found within the South Tyrol and wines from the hotel’s own wine cellar which have been carefully selected by the Rudiferia family. 4 course meals served each evening include an indulgent dessert buffet and selection of mains including vegetarian options.

Dining 

Start the morning with a hot and cold buffet breakfast in the hotel’s lovely restaurant with its enchanting atmosphere. In the evenings you can enjoy a 4 course meal with choices and a salad buffet. Dishes are typically south Tyrolean with much of the ingredients sourced locally.
