Overview

The Hotel Terrace is one of the most popular hotels in Engelberg, especially for short break destinations. This Belle Epoque hotel is perched above the town centre, and is accessible via a new tunnel-lift shuttle, and offers fantastic views across the valley and up to the Titlis Mountain.

Guests access the slopes by walking about 5 minutes to the bus stop from where regular buses whisk you from the centre to the slopes in just a few quick minutes.

The hotel has 170 rooms, and from the minute you arrive you can sense the grandness. The reception area is vast. The rooms are comfortable and practically furnished. Best of all, they are great value as stays at the Hotel Terrace include a lift pass.

Convenience wise, the Terrace is a great base to explore all that Engelberg has to offer, both during the day and in the evening. The hotel’s ‘Portico Bar’, a place where guests can relax with a cocktail or a good malt whisky and a cigar, with views to the Urner Alps.

Comfort twin bedrooms exude Swiss industrial age charm from the 19th century. The coordinated colour scheme makes these rooms a great place to relax and unwind. What’s more, our extra-long twin beds promise a heavenly night’s sleep. And because nature is very important to us, we have installed a shower heat recovery system (Joulia) that is entirely new to the hotel industry. Thanks to Joulia, we can recover up to 70% of the energy used, benefiting you, nature and us.

Dining

The Belle Epoque restaurant treats guests to an array of regional and international culinary delights.

Breakfast is served from 7 – 10 a.m.

The alternating 3-course evening buffet incl. red/white house wine and glacier water is served from 6.30 – 9 p.m. Visiting guests are also welcome to join for the evening meal.
