Overview
Hotellerie de Mascognaz is a gorgeous collection of beautifully restored farmhouses, nestled high in the mountains above the village of Champoluc, in the ancient hamlet of Mascognaz.
This hotel is the ultimate hideaway – the only way to get to or from the main village of Champoluc is by skidoo, 4×4 or small piste machine (Gatto delle Neve) during the winter months. The hotel offers an on-demand skidoo shuttle and once you get to the bottom of the piste, you’ll switch to a land rover for the 5-minute drive to the lifts/village of Champoluc.
It is worth noting however that whilst this hotel is on the-mountain, it is not a ski-in/out property.
Upon arrival, you will be glad you made the choice to come here, the level of comfort and hospitality is striking. The sitting room with the open fire and comfortable chairs and sofas in which to relax through to the very cosy and traditionally styled bedrooms are an example of dedication and care that goes to making a unique place to stay. Throughout out the buildings, the use of traditional fabrics and woodwork blend so well, resulting in a luxurious yet rustic setting.
The spa and wellness area has a 20m indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna with the option of a number of treatments including massages, beauty and hydro mud therapy where you can rest and relax after a long day on the slopes.
There are two dining rooms in the hamlet, Lo Miete and Lo Pejo where you can enjoy traditional cuisine and wines in beautiful surroundings. Lo Pejo is normally used as the restaurant for external diners coming up to Mascognaz to enjoy an evening meal, whilst dinner for residents of all the chalets is taken in the restaurant of Lo Meite.
Room Types & Amenities
The total village is able to sleep about 50 people, all spread over the half a dozen buildings.
There are two large suites which could for many of us double up as homes! So beautiful and so comfortable, there is room for you and your family to relax and be totally absorbed by nature and the environment that surrounds you.
There is in addition the Lo Miete Chalet which can be reserved entirely for a family. The chalet includes seven cosy, romantic rooms, as well as as centre for relaxation. The chef will also work with you to create a dedicated menu for your stay.
Dining
Breakfast
Guests of the chalets Rascard, Lo Miete, Stadel and the Monterosa Suite all take breakfast in the restaurant in Chalet Lo Miete. Guests of chalets Etre, Caleutch and Walser take breakfast in a smaller dining room adjacent to Chalet Caleutch.
Dinner
The restaurant in one of the 16th century buildings will also welcome you to enjoy the local food and traditions of the region. The restaurant is open not only to guests, so it is a good idea to let them know that you plan to stay for dinner!
Guests of all chalets normally dine in the restaurant in Chalet Lo Miete (although occasionally in Restaurant Lo Pejo).
