Overview
Nicknamed the golden egg, the Intercontinental hotel Davos was built to host the global elite that descend upon this renowned ski area every year for the world economic forum. The exterior is strikingly designed and offers superb mountain views from many of the lavishly designed rooms.
The hotel is located just outside of Davos, nestled in the foot of the Weriwald Forest. The hotel is just a short 4 minute drive or 14 minute walk to the central train station and ski lifts, offering access to the 300+km of Davos Klosters ski slopes.
As you would expect the hotel is luxuriously furnished throughout with its 216 rooms brimming with native charm and opulence. Each room boasts a private balcony, floor-to-ceiling glass windows with breath-taking Alpine views, and details such as heated floors and closets stocked with cashmere throws and leather jewellery boxes. With excellent interconnecting room options, the hotel is fantastic for families of all shapes and sizes. The hotel rooms provide enough space to fit an extra bed in and all come with a complimentary mini bar and nespresso machine.
A 1,200-square-foot spa embodies local healing elements with eucalyptus baths and detoxifying mineral wraps. Every treatment incorporates just-picked lavender and chamomile, and in a nod to Swiss terroir, products from La Prairie. After a hot herbal massage, guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool.
